Dacoits loot Rs 10 lakh from Retd. Judge’s House in Cuttack

In a shocking and daring incident, a group of 7-8 dacoits barged into the house of a former judge of the Odisha High Court, Justice PK Mohanty and looted cash, ornaments and valuables of Rs 10 lakh. the incident occurred at the Sector 10, CDA area at around 3 AM – 4:30 AM. The Maruti Swift Dzire car stolen from Justice PK Mohanty’s residence, was later recovered from Rasulgarh area of Bhubaneswar.

The dacoits were reportedly talking in Hindi, Bengali and Odia. A massive manhut has been launched to nab them. DGP Sanjeev Marik rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. the incident has raised serious question mark on Commissionerate Police’s efficiency. It can be recalled that Justice PK Mohanty was probing the Pipili gangrape and murder case after his retirement.
