Heat Waves hit Odisha

MeT Department reported that the maximum temperature in Bhubaneswar was recorded at 38.7 degrees C, the 2nd highest was Cuttack with 37.6 degrees C on the 25th of March.

The western regions of Odisha experienced heatwaves as the maximum temperature in Jharsuguda as well as Bolangir was posted at 36.1 degrees Celsius and 37 deg C each, followed by 36.1 degrees in Sambalpur.

The MeT office predicted the heat wave conditions to increase in some areas of coastal and north interior part of the state over the next few days and that the mercury would cross over 40.0 deg
