Low-pressure area over North-coastal Odisha and adjoining Gangetic-West Bengal is likely to become well-marked in nect 24 hours, triggering heavy rain in some parts of Odisha.
The Meteorological department, Bhubaneswar has predicted orange warning for five districts in the state.
“The low-pressure area over north Coastal Odisha and neighbourhood now lies over north Coastal Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. Associated cyclonic circulation now extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting south-westwards with height. It is very likely to become more marked during the next 24 hours,” said HR Biswas, Met, Bhubaneswar.

Yellow warning (Heavy to very heavy rainfall) in these places-

The rainfall activity is likely to continue till August 17 and 18.
