Astronomers discover 60 new Planets, find ‘Super Earth’

Super EarthAn international team of astronomers led by University of Hertfordshire have found 60 new planets, orbiting stars that are close to Earth’s solar system.

The team of scientists found evidence of a further 54 planets – bringing the total number of possible new worlds to 114.

The team also discovered one of these planets which seem to be a rocky “super Earth”, Gliese 411b which is located in the fourth-nearest star system to the Sun is boosting the chances of finding support life because it is warm.
