An international team of astronomers led by University of Hertfordshire have found 60 new planets, orbiting stars that are close to Earth’s solar system.
The team of scientists found evidence of a further 54 planets – bringing the total number of possible new worlds to 114.
The team also discovered one of these planets which seem to be a rocky “super Earth”, Gliese 411b which is located in the fourth-nearest star system to the Sun is boosting the chances of finding support life because it is warm.
