USA President Donald Trump described India’s air as ‘filthy’ while debating against his Democratic rival Joe Biden during the final Presidential debate in Nashville, Tennesee.
“Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia. Look at India. The air is filthy. I walked out of the Paris Accord as we had to take out trillions of dollars and we were treated very unfairly,” the POTUS said in response to his rival’s plans to tackle climate change.
This is not the first time Donald Trump has used such language for India. During the first debate, he retorted India for data mismatch on coronavirus deaths.
India, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi is considered to be friend of POTUS and his remarks have put question mark on the same.
The references comes days before US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is scheduled to visit India for talks.
