‘We Did It’: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris Win US Elections

Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump to be elected as the 46th President of the United States of America, while Kamala Harris will be the Vice-President. She is the first woman, the first Asian-American, the first black American to hold the post.

Thousands of people took to streets to celebrate as soon as the Biden crossed the majority mark of 270.

“America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me,” President-elect Biden tweeted.

Joe Biden had served as the Vice-President when Barrack Obama was the President while Kamala Harris was a Senator.

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, born to Indian-Jamaican immigrants said,”While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last—because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.”
