Omar recalls Vajpayee, creates Buzz in Political Circle

Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah created a big buzz in the political circles of Delhi and J&K after he hailed former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his tweet and lamented that UPA II Government lost a golden chance to confer Bharat Ratna on the legendary leader.

“I wish the UPA govt had risen above politics & conferred the Bharat Ratna on Vajpayee sahib, would have been a fitting gesture. #lostchance”, tweeted Omar. That led to a series of rumours and speculations and political experts started thinking about a possible alliance between BJP and NC in J&K if there is a hung assembly.

However, Omar sought to set all speculations into rest with another tweet, “Those of you who think parties base alliance decisions on one tweet clearly don’t know how things work”. He told the media that National Conference is not going to form any alliance with the BJP after the results. But, political pundits are not convinced. They believe that Omar may join hands with the BJP to keep PDP out of power. Counting will be held for J&K and Jharkhand tomorrow.
