Shimla, May 27: Smt. Pratibha Singh, Chairperson, Himachal Pradesh Red Cross Hospital Welfare Branch (HPRCHWB) said that State level annual Red Cross Fair would be organized on 13th June, 2015 at Ridge, Shimla. She was presiding over a meeting of HPRCHWB here today.
Smt. Pratibha Singh said that 30 stalls would be set up during the Red Cross Fair. Various activities like flower show, baby show, exhibitions based on handloom products etc. would be organised to attract the tourists. Besides, cultural programmes, blood donation camps would also be organized on the occasion.
Smt. Singh said that H.P. Red Cross had been rendering valuable services for the cause of suffering humanity. Various activities were being undertaken by the Red Cross to create awareness amongst the masses and efforts were afoot to spread these activities to the rural and far flung areas. She said that the funds generated through such activities were being utilized for providing help to the poor and needy besides providing immediate relief to the victims of natural disasters.
Deputy Commissioner, Shimla Shri Dinesh Malhotra assured all possible help from the district administration for organising this event.
Vice Chairman Red Cross Hospital Branch Smt. Kavita Mardi and Smt. Feroza Vijay Singh, Honorary Secretary Smt. Poonam Chauhan, Member Secretary Shri P.S. Rana, Executive Members Smt. Meera Walia and Smt. Shyama Sharma and other members besides representatives of various departments were present in the meeting.
