Swine Flu Death Toll rises to 603 across India

The Swine Flu death toll in India has now gone up to 603 with six more deaths being reported from Gujarat, eleven from Rajasthan and one from Mumbai. The death toll has now reached 150 in Gujarat. The total number of cases in Gujarat, has been estimated at 1,781, while 692 patients have been cured so far.

At least 118 deaths were reported across India in the last three days. Rajasthan tops the list with 176 casualties. Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh. Telangana, Punjab and Maharashtra are worst affected states.

Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have reported 76 and 58 Swine Flu deaths respectively. At least 46 people have succumbed to Swine Flu in Telangana. At least 23 deaths were reported from Punjab too. Haryana too reported 15 H1N1 deaths. The Centre and state government are working in tandem to contain this deadly disease.
