PK, the film, earned Rs 182 crore in seven days, breaking the record of Dhoom3 which had box office collections of Rs 175 crore in the first week of release.

‘PK’ earned Rs Rs 26.63 crore on Day 1 followed by Rs 30.34 crore on the second day and Rs 38.24 crore on the third day, which was a record.
The weekend and festive mood were the biggest plus points for the film, those helped to maintain its peak by earning till the weekend. The film’s earning scaled up to Rs 30 crore on Thursday alone due to the Christmas holiday.
It is believed that the film PK would easily surpass Shah Rukh Khan’s film Happy New Year collections of Rs 203 crore and Salman Khan’s Kick collections of Rs 233 crore. It might surpass the lifetime record of Dhoom 3’s record of Rs 280 crore in the days to come, as speculated.
