ONI Bureau: Veteran Bollywood actress Shammi popularly known as ‘Shammi Aunty’ breathed her last at her Juhu Circle home in Mumai late on Monday night after prolonged illness. He was 89.
As per report, her funeral will be performed at the Oshiwara cemetery in Mumbai later in the day.
Shammi, whose real name was Nargis Rabadi, was a Parsi and the former wife of legendary Bollywood film producer director, the late Sultan Ahmed. She has started her film career with Malhar and later on moved to the comic genre.
She acted in movies like Half Ticket, Ishaara, Jab Jab Phool Khile, Preet Na Jane Reet, Aamne – Saamne, Upkar, Ittefaq, Sajan, Doli, Raja Saab and The Train.
