In the grand programme held at OP Jindal School ground, Mr. DK Saraogi read out the Independence Day message of Chairman of JSPL Mr. Naveen Jindal. “India has progressed in many areas in last 69 years. Our country is world’s largest milk and cereal producer as well as third largest Steel Producer. I am confident that in coming years, India will be second largest steel producer. JSPL group has been contributing to such nation building initiatives,” said Mr. Naveen Jindal in his message.
Addressing the gathering of JSPL employees, their family members, local Community and the school children, Mr. DK Saraogi said, “JSPL’s Angul facility is one of the best steel plant in India in terms of technology, environmental measures and enhancing quality of life of the community around it. As part of ‘make in India’, our steel plan makes quality products for different requirement in India and abroad”. He thanked the local community for their support and active participation in building the plant and congratulated various departments for their achievements and success. He felicitated employees and security persons for their performance.
Like every year, in order to reach the school children in local area, JSPL’s CSR Team distributed sweets among about 19500 children of 63 local schools and 58 Anganwadi Centres in 17 Gram Panchayats.
The students of Jindal Vidyapith at R&R Colony also celebrated Independence Day with a lot of fun and fervour. Mr. SK Sharma (Head – CSR&R) hoisted the flag.
In its State Office at Bhubaneswar, Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota, Vice-President & Odisha Head of Corporate Communication hoisted the National Flag and read out the Independent Day Message of the Chairman Sri Naveen Jindal.
Mr. TS Shanbhogue, Unit Head (Barbil) hoisted the National Flag in the campus of Pelletisation Plant and OP Jindal School, Barbil. After reading our message from Mr. Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSPL, He presented the awards to the staff members and workers for their achievements in different fields during the year. The Company distributed sweets among 14000 children in local schools.
Mr Y Nagendra, Unit Head (Tensa) unfurled the national flag at TRB Iron Ore Mines, Tensa and presented the prizes to workers. Mr. Bikash Mohantry (DGM-HR) read out message from Mr. Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSPL. Debate, Fancy Dress and Song competition on patriotic themes were organised among the school children and Jindal Mahila Samiti members.
