YPK shall connect local youth of SSL peripheral villages and Lanjigarh with all possible job opportunities/entrepreneurial scopes in a transparent and effective manner through the use of technology as well as through counselling and training. While the state-of-the-art technology driven YPK will, in a sustained manner, provide information about available job opportunities and resources to function effectively, the YPK would be the pivotal outreach and counselling interface of aspiring youth from rural, semi urban areas as well as from disadvantaged sections of the society. This Centre would be staffed by motivated and competent personnel, enabled with necessary tools and infrastructure for:
Effectively and continuously assessing demand of skills in labour markets, local in other States and abroad;Guiding youth visiting the Centre or by outreach to schools/colleges, about the training, on-the-job training, job opportunities, etc., according to their aptitude and potential, and Maths. Connecting youth and other job seekers with jobs through portal, job fairs and other possible interface with employees such as campus placements.
The YPK is intended to impact the youths of the entire area, including parts of Rayagada and Kalahandi districts, otherwise marginalised and bereft of soft skills, career preparedness and better life options. This unique Better Life Options Program (BLP) is based on an empowerment model and combines elements of education, family life education, life skills, vocational hand holding, community services and career development.Officials like Mr Jugal Mishra, Mr.Rabi Narayan Mishra, Mr.Chitta Ranjan Panigrahi, Mrs. Sweta Upadhay, Sidhartha Behera, Pallavi Bose, Srimukh Agasty, Srikanta Bohidar from SSl and Ravi Kumar, Pradosh Prusty from FIDR have attended in the function. This Center will benefit 1000 youths @ 50 nos per batch in three classes such as Mathematics, G.K, English during this year.
