All states, except Tamil Nadu support GST, says Arun Jaitley

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley attended a meeting of Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers in Kolkata to nudge the states to arrive at a consensus on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill.

Dr. Amit Mitra, Finance Minister of West Bengal and Chairman of Empowered Committee presided over the meeting.

The Union Minister Arun Jaitley met finance ministers of 22 States on Tuesday morning.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitely said that the GST Bill has finally earned the virtually support of all States except Tamil Nadu.
