‘Amma’ Jayalalithaa breaks jinx, retains power in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu CM and AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa became the first ruler in 27 years to retain power in Tamil Nadu. She proved all exit poll results wrong, barring the exception of C-Voter.

Out of 232 (234) seats in Tamil Nadu, AIADMK is leading in 140 seats, while DMK+Congress leading in 76 seats. Trends for 11 more seats not received yet. But, Jaya has already received the required number of seats to form the government.

Neither BJP nor DMDK led by Captain Vijayakanth failed to make any big impact. But, BJP is leading in two seats. The DMK-Congress alliance too failed to overthrow Jaya.
