The Scheme was launched by distribution of new connections to BPL women of the State.
Addressing a huge gathering on the occasion Shri. Pradhan explained the importance of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in saving environment and improving health & economic condition of women in rural areas.
Mr. Pradhan also highlighted the commitment of the Government led by Shri Narendra Modi to uplift the living conditions of women especially those in the hills where collection of firewood is challenging and its use for cooking hazardous for health.
