Just days after China warned India not to consider the Indian Ocean as its backyard and justifies deployment of submarines, India has announced its plan to hold a massive joint military exercise in these waters along with the United States and Japan in October 2015.
India had stopped such exercises after China raised objections to a mega warfare event eight years ago in 2007.
