While the BJP alliance is predicted to gain 31 seats, JD(U) alliance may lose 35 seats. Nitish Kumar still leads the race as the most favourite CM candidate with 29% votes. Sushil Modi is on the second spot with 19%, while Lalu Yadav is at third spot with 12%.
As the magic figure to form the government is 122, it would be interesting to see how both alliances woo the voters to improve their tally. Polling in Bihar will be held in 5 phases between October 12 and November 5. Results will be declared on November 8.
