Indo-US Hotline becomes Operational, India join Elite Club

The Hotline Between PM Narendra Modi and US President Obama Becomes Operational. India became the 4th country after Russia, Great Britain and China with which the U.S. has a hotline. The decision to establish a hotline between India and the U.S. was taken during Obama’s January 26 visit to India.

Currently, India have just one hotline – with Pakistan, which was made functional with the help of US Military. Although China agreed to have a hotline with India in 2010, that is not operational yet.
