UIDAI announces OTP based Aadhaar-Mobile linking from Dec 1

Insight Bureau: The Government has now made it easier for mobile phone customers to link their phone number (SIM) with their Aadhaar card number.

UIDAI on Thursday announced that by December 1, 2017, people will be able to link mobile SIM with Aadhaar without giving biometrics to Telecom Service Providers.

Aadhaar-Mobile linking can be done from home using One-time password (OTP) with effect from December 1.
