2G Verdict fuels speculations of DMK-BJP Alliance!

ONI Bureau: With factionalism and resentment reining supreme in the AIADMK after Jayalalithaa’s demise, the DMK is growing strong in Tamil Nadu under MK Stalin. And, the party got a big boost as it was proven “clean” in the sensational 2G scam.

With all accused including A Raja and MK Kanimozhi acquitted in the case after the CBI failed to prove the money trail, DMK erupted in jubilation. The verdict came even as the RK Nagar Bypoll is underway. Was there no scam? Did CAG Vinod Rai and BJP/AAP lied to the nation? Or, was there a bigger conspiracy to bail out DMK leaders?

In politics, nothing is impossible. If a bitter, hardcore critic of PM Narendra Modi like Nitish Kumar can join the NDA, why not DMK, which was with the BJP several times in the past too? BJP loathed DMK due to corruption allegations. But, as their leaders have been given clean chit now, speculations are rife that both parties may go for an alliance in Tamil Nadu as well as at the Centre in the run up to 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

On November 6, 2017, PM Narendra Modi paid a visit to ailing DMK veteran M Karunanidhi and spent a good time with him in the presence of MK Stalin. Was there a message which media could not read at that time? People of Tamil Nadu has suffered enough after Jaya’s demise. If both DMK and BJP can provide a clean alternative and also strengthen their alliance at the centre, there can’t be any wrong. In politics, everything is fair!
