The ‘One Stop Centre’ SAKHI opened at the hospital in order to provide legal and medical support to women and child victims of various kinds of violence. Both Commissionerate of Police and Women and Child Development will manage the centre jointly.
According to reports, the ward of SAKHI comprises of five beds with facilities like drinking water, toilets, pantry, counseling and examining rooms along with CCTV. Besides, providing medical assistance to women and child victims of violence including domestic, acid attack, sexual and dowry-related, the centre would help victims to lodge FIR with the police.
