Jharsuguda Airport to begin Flight operations from Aug 21

ONI Bureau:  Odisha’s second major airport at Jharsuguda town will begin operations from August 21, informed Airport Director S K Chouhan on Tuesday.

The airport authorities have said that there is no official confirmation on the exact date of flight operations but as per the telephonic conversations only they are confirming the inauguration date.

Under the UDAN scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore, Jharsuguda Airport has earlier received 2B license qualifying for running smaller planes and later got a 4-C category license for running bigger planes like Airbus-320 and Boeing 747.
