Jual Oram visits Assam to monitor Situation

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Shri Jual Oram has visited Assam along with Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take stock of the situation in Assam, which has come under the grip of ethnic violence since last night. Oram condemned the brutal killing of 65 tribals, including 21 women and 12 children and expressed his deep condolence.

Earlier, Jual Oram had telephonic conversation with Assam Chief Minister Taun Gogoi and urged him to provide all medical assistance as well as full-proof security to the innocent tribals, who are being targeted by the Bodo militants.

Jual Oram will stay in Assam tonight along with Rajnath Singh and will visit the affected areas and meet the injured at hospitals tomorrow. In addition, he will also hold talks with CM Tarun Gogoi and senior officials of the Assam Government.
