Kalahandi’s Sardar Rajas Medical College chief arrested for fraud

ONI Bureau:   Odisha Crime Branch’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) today arrested A. Johnsel Raja, the Managing Trustee of Selvam Educational & Charitable Trust from Nagercoil Tamil Nadu on charges of fraud and cheating.

As per report, Raja was running the Kalahandi’s Sardar Rajas Medical College and Hospital at Jaring. He had collected huge amount of money from students by giving them admission in the Medical College and Hospital that has already lost recognition of the Medical Council of India (MCI).

He was also failed to complete infrastructural development of medical college at Jaring in Kalahandi district for which the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) had provided Rs 10 crores to the Trust along with 25 acres of land free of cost in 2004.
