NITI Aayog gives Thumbs Up to 4 Odisha Districts

ONI Bureau:  According to the statement on Second Delta Ranking of Aspirational Districts Programme released by NITI Aayog, Rayagada district in Odisha ranked fourth most improved in Skill Development among Aspirational Districts.

However, Gajapati district ranked second in terms of improvement in agriculture and water resources.

As per the statement, two districts of Odisha have been placed among the top five most improved districts of India. Nuapada (ranked second in field of improvement in education) and Koraput districts in Odisha figured among top five districts in the Second Delta ranking released by the NITI Aayog today.

Notably, the Second Delta ranking for the Aspirational Districts measures the incremental progress made by them between June 1, 2018 and October 31, 2018, across six developmental areas of Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Water Resources, Financial Inclusion, Skill Development, and Basic Infrastructure.

As many as 111 districts in India have been ranked on the basis of incremental progress between June 1 and October 31.
