According to the members of the Committee, which is spearheading the agitation, many of them were injured in police excess.
The employees had been on a strike at Lower PMG for the last four months. But, the Energy Minister did not pay heed to their demands, they alleged.
Earlier, the family members of the deceased employees tonsured their heads and performed last rites of the Energy Minister after burning his effigy.
Meanwhile, Pranab Prakash Das has refuted the allegations that he is not taking any steps to address the concerns of family members of deceased employees. “We are taking steps according to gadget notification. Won’t file police complaint against people, who ransacked my house out of anger,” he said.
