Odisha Govt forms 3-Member Interim Committee for BSET

Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: Odisha government has formed three members interim committee for the functioning of Barapada School of Engineering and Technology (BSET) on Tuesday. This decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Employment training and Technical Education Minister Sanjay Kumar Das Burma.

The three members committee will look after functioning of the privately-owned BSET and other administrative affairs. The committee will be headed by the district collector Lakhminarayan Mishra and other two members will be college head Mohancharan Panda and workers representative Shreekant Mohapatra.

According to reports, the college will call a meeting after 15 days of the formation of the new committee to formulate a new by-law.

It is noteworthy that, BJD legislator and former minister Prafulla Kumar Samal had called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik over the college issue and urged to take over the administrative charges of BSET, on August 18.
