Orissa HC Bar Association backs June 24 Strike by Puri Lawyers

The Orissa High Court Bar Association has come out in support of lawyers of Puri Bar Association, which has called for a 12-hour strike in the holy city tomorrow in protest against the Nabakalebara fiasco. They have demanded justice and strong punishment against the guilty people.

Lawyers of Orissa High Court, have decided to stop the work tomorrow. Interestingly, some BJD leaning government lawyers in Puri have decided not to participate in the strike and termed it as ‘undemocratic’ and ‘politically motivated’.

The lawyers have decided to take to the streets after the politicians failed to do so. Both Congress and BJP are speaking against the breach of rules and traditions and blaming the Chief Minister, Law Minister as well as the SJTA Chief. But, they are not so vocal or aggressive to hit the streets and put the government on the mat.
