Panic grips in Palasuni area in Bhubaneswar; People spot Hyena

Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: Panic gripped in Palasuni areas in the capital city since last night as resident of Bhoi Sahi reportedly spotted a hyena roaming on road.

Residents of Bhoi Sahi under Mancheswar police station reported that they spotted a hyena roaming in the area of Palasuni. They claimed that it was seen near the house of an engineer at plot no 3605/3606.

After getting information about the animal, forest officials rushed to the area to rescue it. As the officials flashed light on it, the animal jumped off five feet height wall adjacent to the house of the engineer in the areas and run into nearby bushes. Since then it was not spotted again, however, people are in panic.

Three people injured when tried to save themselves from their animal in the area. As per officials, it had not attacked on any residents last night. As per the resident, spotted hyena was about 4-5 feet height. After spotting the wild animal in their areas, resident have spent sleep-less night on Sunday. However, forest officials have stared scouring the areas to trace the animal.
