It was informed by the Odisha Finance Secretary Tuhin Kant Pande on Monday.
The decision was taken by Odisha Government after the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi banned the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to curb black money, fake currency & terror funding.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed Prime Minister’s announcement to demonetize Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes.
