Dhawan hits 137, India post 307/7 vs South Africa

Shikhar Dhawan scored 137 off 146 balls with 16 boundaries and 2 sixes, as India piled up 307/7 in 50 overs against South Africa at the MCG in 2015 World Cup. Virat Kohli (46) and Ajinkya Rahane (79) were the other top scorers. Morne Morkel took two wickets.

India choked in the slog overs yet again and could manage to get just 10 runs in the last two overs. They fell short of 20-25 runs in the end.

It would be interesting to see how the bowlers respond to the situation and fare against the South African batting-line up, which is considered as very solid, with in-form batsmen like Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, David Miller and Jean-Paul Duminy leading the charge. It would be a testing time for the Indian spinners today.
