Apart from Dhoni, Dhawan (23), Rahane (51) and Harbhajan (22) were the other top scorers. For South Africa, Dale Steyn took three wickets. Morne Morkel and Imran Tahir took two wickets each.
At one stage, India were in deep trouble at 124/6 and it looked like as if they would bowl out for less than 200. But, Dhoni led the way and powered the team to a respectable total. India had lost the first ODI in Kanpur by 5 runs.
