PM Modi on Sunday hosts National Sports awardees including Olympic Medal Winners P V Sindhu and Sakshi Malik and at his residence in New Delhi.
He also met Khel Ratna Awardees shooter Jitu Rai and gymnast Dipa Karmakar along with Dhyan Chand awardees, Dronacharya awardees, and Tenzing Norgay National Adventure awardees on the eve of National Sports Day.
The Prime Minister today paid tributes to the legendary hockey player Dhyan Chand on the National Sports Day.
On his 23rd Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister complimented hockey wizard Dhyan Chand by saying that ‘he scores goals like runs’. “Dhyan Chand ji was a living example of sportsman spirit and nationalism”, Modi added.
