Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd (OPGC) has been adjudged winner of the highly coveted Kalinga “Gold Category” Safety Award-2014, in the power sector. A team of OPGC comprising of five members headed by Mr. Pradeep Mohapatra, received the award from Chief Secretary of Odisha. High level dignitaries from different sectors as well as large number of industry representatives of the state were present on the occasion.
In the Safety Conclave, Mr. U.K Pahi, Head- EHS of OPGC also shared a talk on “Global Safety trends in Power Sector and how OPGC has embraced these International Practices”.
The Conclave is organized by Institute of Quality & Environment Management Services Pvt. Ltd and Quality Council of India, Odisha Chapter, supported by Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India and Department of Employee State Insurance, Govt. of Odisha.
