The JD(U) and RJD have fielded all candidates on the basis of caste calculations. Although it was believed that Bihar polls would be fought on development plank, finally caste politics came into fore.
Mafia Don Munna Shukla fielded from Lalganj by JD(U). Lalu Yadav’s sons Tejpratap and Tejaswi to contest the polls. RJD has fielded 17 Muslims, JD(U) fielded 7 candidates. RJD had fielded 48 Yadavs, while JD(U) has given tickets to 14 Yadavs.
