Prime Minister to attend All Party Meeting on Kashmir Issues today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend an all-party meeting on Friday to discuss the ongoing situation in the Kashmir Valley. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh announced it in the  Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

Replying to a seven hour-long discussion over prevailing situation in Kashmir, Home Minister appealed to all sections of the society in the State, to work for an early restoration of normalcy and harmony in the valley.

In an unanimous resolution passed after six hour discussion over the prevailing situation in Kashmir, the House resolved to restore the confidence among the people in general and the youth in particular through political process.

Earlier, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad appealed the Government to send an all-party delegation to Jammu and Kashmir in order to take stock of the situation and organise an all-party meeting to resolve the Kasmir unrest.
