Farmers shown their lost crop samples to the DDA and demanded for immediate compensation. DDA officer Kalidash Biswas discussed with the delegation team of farmers and assured of compensation to be paid basing on the report.
The loss and drought situation will be surveyed and the report shall be prepared by a joint team of agriculture, horticulture and revenue departments. Then as per government policy 6860 rupees compensation will be paid per hectare, said the DDA officer.
