ONI Bureau: The Orissa High Court today rejected the order of State Election Commission (SEC) to disqualify the membership of the nine BJD councillors of Keonjhar Municipality.
With this move, the membership of all councillors will remain intact.
It is to be noted that these BJD councillors had voted in favour of the no-confidence motion against Keonjhar municipality chairperson, Meena Majhi who belonged to their own party.
In this regard, BJD had moved SEC against nine councillors as a result SEC cancelled their membership on February 22, 2016.
