SJTA announces Rs 5 lakh each for Three Daru Sites

Puri, Sep 3: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Thursday announced cash incentive of Rs 5 lakh each for three Daru sites. During Nabakalebara this year, Daru or Neem Wood Log, were found in the Jagatsinghpur district.

Earlier the administration had announced to build shrines at the three location where ‘Daru’ was identified in three locations – Kharipadia, Kanakpur and Adhangagada in Jagatsinghpur district.

The administration will provide cash incentive of Rs.5 lakh each to Nilakantheswar mandir at Adhangagada, Sarala temple management committee in Jhankada and Jagannath mandir in Raghunathpur.

Devi Subhadra’s Daru found at the Nilakantheswar Mandir premises at Adhanga in Biridi block of Jagatsinghpur district. Daru of Lord Balabhadra found near the Jhankad Sarala Peetha at Kanakpur in Tirtol block and ‘Daru’ for Lord Jagannath was identified at Kharipadia under Raghunathpur block.
