After dialling the number, users will start following the @BCCI account on Twitter and will receive up to three tweets a day as messages once they have dialled the number. This will also include links to photos, videos, apart from domestic and international match updates.
“The BCCI has many firsts to its credit, in terms of making it easier for fans to connect to cricket on mobile. We are pleased to be the first sports federation globally to launch the SMS Fast Follow feature on Twitter and ensure that cricket lovers are now just a missed call away from getting inside information on their favourite sport,” BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said in a release.
