Chasing a victory target of 300, South African batsmen failed to cope with the spin attack of India. AB de Villers stood tall and scored 112 off 107 balls, but others failed to handle the pressure. South Africa finished at 264/9 in 50 overs and lost the match by 35 runs.
Quinton de Kock (43), Behardien (22) and Phangiso (20) were the other contributors. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets, while Harbhajan took two wickets. Kohli was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
