ONI Bureau: In order to relieve people of the day-to-day stress as well give them a break from traditional news and views syndrome, the News World Odisha TV has come up with a new news-based comedy show – ‘Panchayat Pencha’.
The show will be telecast every Friday at 9:30 PM, starting from February 9, 2018. “The key attraction of this programme is veteran comic actor Jayeeram Samal, who is popularly known as “Jayee Bhai”. His trademark laugh has always been the main attraction in his films,” said Chief Editor Bhakta Tripathy.
Jayeeram is going to debut in news channel through this show. ‘Panchayat Pencha’ will highlight several problems faced by the villagers in a satirical manner, Jayeeram said, while adding that he would play the role of a Sarpanch while two of his associates Pragyanranjan Khatua and Sankarsan Pradhan will act as villagers.
