PM Modi invokes Sufism and Buddhism, advocates Religious Tolerance

In his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio address today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about religious tolerance when he invoked the rich and powerful tradition of Sufism and Buddhism.

“Recently I had a chance to meet scholars of the Sufi tradition. Their wisdom filled word felt like sweet music to my ears. I am confident that Sufism with its deep rooted tradition of love and tolerance, will be able to spread  this message to in the world”, he said.

Syed Salman Chisty, Gaddi Nashin – Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Founder Director of Chisty Foundation, recently met PM Narendra Modi and requested him to visit Ajmer Dargah.

Modi also talked about Buddishm, saying “It is a matter of immense pleasure that I am getting an opportunity to visit Bodh Gaya in the company of Buddhist scholars. I will visit Bodh Gaya soon”, he said.
