Bhartruhari Mahtab comes to rescue of Rajnath Singh in Lok Sabha

BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahtab came to the rescue of Rajnath Singh (quoting Rule Book) when CPM MP Mohd. Salim quoted ‘Outlook’ magazine to level allegations against Rajnath Singh that the HM had said “that first time in 800 years a Hindu has become India’s PM”.

Bhartruhari Mahtab told the Speaker that without giving a valid notice, nobody can level such allegations against a Member of the House.

Rajnath Singh got emotional over the allegations and said if any Home Minister utters such statement, he must not stay in power. “People of India whether majority or minority, know me better. I’m hurt by Mohd Salim’s statement, have never been this hurt in my political career”, he said.

Lok Sabha adjourned till 2:05 PM amid the din.
