India beat Sri Lanka by 69 runs in the second T20 International at the Jharkhand International Stadium here on Friday to level the three-match series 1-1.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan (51) scored a quickfire half century as India scored 196/6 in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma (43), Suresh Raina (30) and Pandya (27) were the other contributors.

Perera took three wickets, while Chameera took two wickets. Perera took a hattrick by removing Pandya, Raina and Yuvraj off three consecutive balls in the 19th over.

In reply, the visitors scored 127/9 in 20 overs. Chandimal (21), Kapugedera (32), Siriwardana (28) and Shanaka (27) were the top scorers. Ashwin took three wickets, while Jadeja, Nehra and Bumrah took two wickets each.

India earlier lost the first match by five wickets.
