Tech Mahindra’s IT Block inaugurated by CM

tech mahindra bubaneswarTech Mahindra’s new IT block was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday in the presence of various cabinet ministers and dignitaries from the state and leadership team from Tech Mahindra.

Speaking at the occasion Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said “I hope Tech Mahindra will continue to expand its growth and employment contribution from Bhubaneswar in future. I congratulate the management of Tech-Mahindra and wish them all success in this endeavor’.”

“Tech Mahindra is present in Odisha since 1997 and we are over-whelmed to see abundance of talent here. Our journey being 25 associate in 1997 to 600 strong workforce has been eventful, and I’m thankful to the government of Odisha for its continued support, said CP Gurnani, MD & CEO, Tech Mahindra.

On Thursday, the company has added the third block into its premises for operations with enhancement of 615 seats. The news building is based on modern architecture completely controlled through integrated Building Management System.

Tech Mahindra aims to recruit more staff through local hiring for its Bhubaneswar Development Centre, which has been delivering world-class and innovation services to some of their Fortune 100 clients, a statement from the company said.

In collaboration with Ruchika Social Services Organization, Tech Mahindra Foundation has organized science exhibition – with theme “”Little Scientists”.   The exhibition was also inaugurated by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the campus. The exhibition would be concluded on 12 December 2014 with prize distribution to the under privileged student participated in the science exhibition in Bhubaneswar, the release added.

Bhubaneswar has been one of the most preferred destinations for the IT, ITES, business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPOs) companies in India.  More and more IT companies wold like to invest in Odisha and try to get the fresh talent from here for their IT services.
