4 Jawans Killed, 10 Injured in Maoist Attack in Dantewada

Dantewada-MaoistsAt least four jawans were killed and 10 others got injured when the Maoists laid a big ambush to blow up an anti-landmine vehicle in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district. The injured have rushed to hospital. A massive combing operation has been launched to flush out the naxals.

This is the third Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh in three days. The first attack took place in Sukma on April 11, when seven STF jawans were gunned down by the Maoists. Earlier in the day, a BSF trooper was injured when the Maoists attacked the Border Security Force (BSF) camp at Chhotebetiya forested area in Kanker district’s Pakhanjoor locality in the early hours of Monday.

Most of the deceased were from Chhattisgarh Armed Forces. Some of the injured jawans are in critical condition.
