Swine Flu Death Toll in India rises to 1,005

Swine-FluThe Swine Flu death toll across India has gone up to 1,005 with the death of 40 more people in the last 24 hours. At least 18,105 people have been affected by H1N1 virus so far. The government admitted that it was facing shortage of laboratories to test Swine Flu. Only 21 such laboratories exist in India.

Rajasthan continues to be on top of Swine Flu casualties. Around 251 people have died so far of the deadly disease. Gujarat is now far behind with 247 deaths. Madhya Pradesh (143), Maharashtra (125) and Telangana (56) are the other worst-affected states.

Delhi recorded 10 Swine Flu deaths so far. 9 people died in J&K, while West Bengal too reported 7 H1N1 casualties. Punjab (40) and Haryana (22) are the other worst-affected states by Swine Flu menace.
