Mamata Greets SRK on 50th Birthday

Kolkata, Nov 2: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday greeted Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on his 50th birthday.

“Happy Birthday @iamsrk,” Banerjee tweeted.

SRK is Bengal’s brand ambassador and one of Banerjee’s favourites for inaugurating mega-scale events, including the star-studded Kolkata International Film Festival.

Bringing the much-needed glam quotient to the state, SRK, co-owner of Indian Premier League squad Kolkata Knight Riders, is a frequent visitor to the city.

Banerjee has always extended a warm welcome to the star and his family when they visit Kolkata.

SRK is set to shoot a promotional video for West Bengal’s tourism department.
